University of South Africa APS Calculation

UNISA Admission Point Score (APS) serves as a grading system for considering students for admission at UNISA. You have to meet the APS requirement to avoid nullifying your application efforts.

The points you get for each course will depend on the percentage you score in that particular subject. The APS score is the total points you receive from each course.

However, there are other factors that determine your admission status. Meeting the requirements may not guarantee your admission application success. Space availability and the number of prospective students to be accepted are factors that may also determine your admission status.

UNISA Applicants for a specific programme must meet the minimum APS for that programme. Generally, you get points for each matric subject you write that you write an exam for.

To calculate your APS, you’ll need to add your six best subjects, excluding Life Orientation.

The points you get for each course will depend on the percentage you score in that particular subject. The APS score is the total points you receive from each course.
