Topic: The True Vine
Text : John 15
I AM the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman (2) Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
This is a powerful parable Jesus told the Jews and the disciples, the vine there is Jesus and God is the husbandman and we are the branches and our characters are the fruit here in the scripture, that we must be close to God through his son and bring out a good fruit why Jesus made this statement was that the Jews they had the privilege of being with the saviour but because of their stubbornness God chooses another method called grafting which means that those Jews who believe not in God through Christ were cut off and the gentiles who believe were given the opportunity to be the Heirs of the Kingdom.
That is was why when Jesus saw the woman of Samaria he more on to request water from her but when the Jews being his disciples saw it they were furious but Christ let them to understand that he came to seek and save that which was lost and our brother Paul let us to understand that in Christ Jesus there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus Ephesians 3:28 so Christ being the vine of all men we are called and choose to be the divine heir in his kingdom verse 6 says if a abide not in my word, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them and cast them into fire, and they are burned. So those who believe not in God through Christ they will die and the men representing angels will gather them to be burnt up on the last day but verse 7 says if ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
A promise to those who believe and practice what God commands them to do and their blessing began here on earth till throughout eternity we will be blessed, may God help us to abide in him in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
