Lesson 8 Review: Education and Redemption

Lesson 8: Education and Redemption

Introduction

Memory Text: “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for doctrines, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16, NKJV).

The bible story unlike or human stories has an assurance of a good ending. The bible’s education has been on grace, how to redeem Us from the penalties of sin and so since We cannot earn such grace We have to learn about it.

How did God originally create humans?

God created humans in His own image, He made Humans male and female.

What happened to human nature after sin?

We see that after sin entered the world the image of God in Us was hampered and We had many weaknesses.

What is the goal of education in the history of mankind?

The goal of education would be to restore the image of God in Man.

How can education achieve this goal?

This goal can be achieved when there is a strong relationship with God. This image can be restored when We create that relationship for communication.

What was Jesus’ teaching role?

The book of Isaiah revealed that the Messiah who will come will fill the earth with the knowledge of God. Jesus came to redeem Us from sin and He also came to teach Us as well. This shows that the work of redemption and the work of salvation are the same. There is no redemption without education.

What is also our role in seeing that this prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled?

Our role would be to educate others with the knowledge God had imparted on Us through His word.

What is the role of scripture in Christian Education?

The role of scripture will be to make Us wise for salvation, it teaches Us what is right, it reproofs, corrects and instructs Us in righteousness.

Why is wisdom important?

Wisdom is important because by it we can understand the Christian education. Wisdom is what We learn from education, wisdom ma not answer all our questions but it makes Us content with what We already know while searching for the unknown.

What context of wisdom does Paul emphasize on?

Paul affirms that true wisdom is not of Men but of God. He further explains that our faith should be built on God’s wisdom and it is essential we have this education because if Men of old had this education, they wouldn’t have crucified Jesus; 1 Corinthians 2:1-16.

In Conclusion,

We all have a lot to learn from Christian Education because this education touches every corner of life. It prepares Us for what is more important. The disciples went about teaching what Jesus had commanded them and they never stopped. No matter how Christian Education could get, we must never stop the movement, We have to share our knowledge of God with others and God will bless Us richly as We do so in Jesus’ name.
