Lesson 7 Review: Worship in Education

Memory Text: “Give to the Lord the glory due His name; bring an offering and come before Him. Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of His Holiness” (1 Corinthians 16:29 NKJV).

Worship has been part of Human nature even before sin came, God deserves our worship as our Creator and Savior and so how we give this worship matters.

Why is it impossible not to worship anything?

It is impossible to not worship anything because no matter what we worship, they are all regarded as worship. Worship is more than just physical bowing down, anything we give more attention to, whatever we love the most, and whatever We live for, that is what We worship

What instance proves that worship is so important?

The story of the three Hebrew boys in Daniel 3 makes Us understand that who/what we worship really matters when they refused to bow down to the golden image.

Why is it important that we declare them to our children?

Our children need to know about the Lord’s dealings because it had been written that these laws should be taught to all generations. The Israelites translated these laws into songs and no generation was ignorant of God’s ways.

In what manner do We worship God?

God is spirit and He who wants to worship God must worship Him in spirit and in truth.

How do We worship God in the beauty of His Holiness?

Worshipping God in the beauty of His holiness requires Us to be holy in minds and hearts. By so doing, our worship is in the beauty of His holiness, corruption and sin should be far from Us when We want our worship to God to be in the beauty of His Holiness.

How possible is it for Us to exhibit idolatry instead of true worship?

Ancient Israel was in the midst of people who were so religious and who worshipped idols, and hence they had fallen into idolatrous practices. It is very possible to exhibit idolatry, only by the grace of God that We are saved. Idolatry may not necessarily be worshipping another thing, but by claiming to worship God in the wrong way, we are also guilty of idolatry.

In Conclusion,

Many Professors of religion are in the dark, they do not know the truth about worship and this makes them to spread the falsehood they carry serving as a stumbling block for unbelievers and a continual weight to those who would be faithful to Christ. Their hearts are far from God but their lips seem to be near, we have to set aside all our sins and guilt and Jesus will come and dine with Us and teach Us His ways, He will tell Us the truth and false Professors will not have any edge in Us. I pray God to educate Us more on the type of worship that pleases Him in the beauty of His Holiness in Jesus’ name.
