If God Is Love, Why Suffering?

Key Text: Gensis 3:16-17

All Generations from Adam witnesses a great percentage of sorrow be it masses or few affected but let’s consider the story of Adam and Eve ( our first parent) and obtain a moral lesson, disobedient of our first parent leads to sin and death Romans 6:12 wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: so which means our first parents introduces us to death and suffering a lot of suffering we encounter today means not that we are responsible but by nature of humanity we share the curse of the first parent at the Garden of Eden.

When God spoke to His children through Moses His says Exodus 20:5-6 thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; our parents did sin but transferred the aggression to their children and upon the generation that refuses to walk according to Law of God.

That is generational curse and families affected who yield themselves to Lawlessness and practices immoralities, when God said for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23 being blemish and having a spot in nature our character and manners show us that we are sinful in nature and we need the righteousness of God.

And most of our suffering comes not because we have sinned but because the devil is always active to cast his wrath upon the children of God, let’s consider the story of Job.

Job 1:6-22 we may be in the same condition as Job but God is waiting to see what our response to the Temptation. God knows our challenges, problems, weakness, pain, sorrow, but all in all, God wants us to be obedient as Job.

Sin causes all these problems to us, our fathers made us be partakers of their iniquity by disobeying God, and as a result of that God has cursed the ground and make everything according to the result of man’s rebellion. For us to escape suffering, pains, sorrows, and death we must yield to the way of truth and acknowledge that we are sinners, and ask the righteousness of God to transform us and make us a new man in Christ Jesus.
